The Fremont Street Experience in Downtown Las Vegas
Las Vegas is often known for its fabulous Strip, but there’s another version of the city that’s also a must-see. It’s called Downtown Vegas, and it’s just a few miles northeast of the Strip.
This pedestrian-only mall is anchored by the world’s largest video screen, an adrenaline-packed zip line, and historic casinos. It’s not without its share of issues, but it’s a unique way to experience Vegas.
Viva Vision
Viva Vision is the world’s largest single video screen, boasting 16.4 million brilliant pixels, and is suspended 90 feet above Fremont Street’s renowned pedestrian mall. The massive canopy dazzles millions of visitors a year with its colorful light shows coordinated with music.
It’s also home to Slotzilla, the world’s most unique zipline attraction launching riders from a 12-story slot-machine-themed platform representing the world’s largest slot machine and sending them soaring under the iconic Viva Vision canopy.
The one-of-a-kind venue also offers free concerts and special events 365 days a year and roaming street performers. Viva Vision is a must-see for visitors looking for an exciting new Las Vegas experience!
Viva Vision is based in a prime location of Pallavaram, Chennai, and is surrounded by schools, hospitals, restaurants, and all kinds of public amenities. It is an ideal place for the family to live in.
Slotzilla Zip Line
Slotzilla Zip Line is an exhilarating two-level zipline and zoom line that sends riders flying over the Fremont Street Experience. It offers a fun experience and a thrill that can’t be found anywhere else in Las Vegas.
Riders are strapped into a seated or horizontal flying harness that has a bag attached for personal items such as sunglasses, handbags, and cell phones. They then walk up a pair of stairs to the launch tower.
The lower Zip-Zilla (Zipline) sends riders 2 blocks in a seated position at heights of up to 7 stories, while the upper Super-Hero Zoom (Zoomline) sends them 5 blocks in a prone position at heights of up to 11 stories.
The Slotzilla Zip Line ride is located on Fremont Street next to Walgreens and tickets can be purchased in person or online through the Slotzilla website. Ticket prices are subject to rise if demand warrants them.
Binion’s Casino
One of the oldest and most popular casino resorts on Fremont Street, Binion’s Gambling Hall is a great place to experience the Vegas classics. They have a range of poker tables and bars to suit all tastes and budgets, plus a rooftop pool on the 25th floor that offers great views of downtown Las Vegas.
Founded by Benny Binion in 1951, it was the first casino in downtown Las Vegas to replace sawdust-covered floors with carpeting and was the first to offer comps to all gamblers. It also had a frontier-style interior, with low ceilings and velvet wallpaper.
The Horseshoe, as it was called, became legendary for its yeehaw-ing owner and its policy of taking any bet, no matter how big or small. It was a hangout for hard-eyed, no-nonsense gamblers who were more than happy to bet their life savings on the house.
When Benny Binion died in 1989, his sons Jack and Ted took over the operation of Binion’s Casino. However, they did not have the same natural flair and edge that their father had.
Golden Nugget
The Golden Nugget is the most luxurious property on Fremont Street Experience and consistently receives critical acclaim. Offering more than 2,400 deluxe rooms and suites, the resort has world-class dining choices like Grotto Italian Ristorante and Vic & Anthony’s Steakhouse, a high-energy casino with all the popular slot machines and table games, and nightly entertainment.
The resort also features a luxury spa and salon, a 200,000-gallon shark tank, and a lagoon-style swimming pool with a waterslide running through it. In addition, guests can enjoy the many shopping and entertainment options at the nearby mall.
The resort has plenty of on-running promos, including a huge welcome bonus for new members that will be worth up to $1,000 and 200 free spins, as well as cashback offers and sports betting bonuses. Plus, members can earn on-running Rewards Club points as they play and climb the leaderboard to get more ongoing benefits and promotions.
